Audio producer & writer

I live and work in Missoula, Montana, where I freelance as an audio producer and scriptwriter. I’m the producer of People I (Mostly) Admire for Freakonomics Radio and the creator and co-host of Unconventional Paths for Soil Centric.

I’m trained in science journalism, have deep roots in modern art, and produce a show for an economist. For stories, I’ve helped interview giants in the modern art world like Richard Serra and John Baldessari and chased tornadoes in NOAA’s hurricane hunter aircraft named Kermit.

I have an MSJ from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, I’m a Transom alum, and I cut my teeth at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

When I'm away from my desk I can be found skiing, working with clay, hanging in the woods, or dancing to funk music. I’m also a high school tutor for Missoula’s refugee population.

A few stories…
