Audio Producer
I’m an audio producer who’s happy at the intersection of things.
I live in Missoula, Montana and work as a senior producer for the NYC-based Freakonomics Radio Network. I’m the only producer at at the network who works on all of our shows.
I’m the showrunner and solo producer for People I (Mostly) Admire hosted by economist Steve Levitt. We interview economists, scientists, artists, thought leaders, and lots lots lots of Nobel laureates. I’m a contributing producer to the network’s flagship show Freakonomics Radio, where I’ve produced thoughtful series on art repatriation and the art market. Our art market series launched the show’s current series model. I regularly produce episodes for The Economics of Everyday Things, and produced a special episode for Freakonomics, M.D. about ME/CFS.
In addition to an economics minor from Skidmore College (which is working overtime these days), I have a BA in art history, and an MSJ in science journalism from Medill at Northwestern University. While there I was a Comer Scholar for environmental journalists.
Past career highlights include tornado chasing in a NOAA hurricane hunter aircraft nicknamed Kermit (aka a Lockheed WP-3D Orion four-engine turboprop aircraft); and meeting art world giants like Kara Walker, John Baldessari, Richard Serra, and Mark di Suvero while working as a content producer for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Outside of work, I spend lots of time in the woods and art museums.
